On a more positive note however it was 42 years ago today that one of my closest friends [for over 50 years] first met his future wife.
Sitting around that table in the pub that evening were Pete and Sue as well as me, my late brother Bow, Bill Bailey [really], Tich and Janet [who also married] ... and that's about it, we think.
